The significance of the creative activity of the choreographer and teacher Alla Rubina

Abstract.

The article deals with the creative path of the outstanding modern choreographer Alla Rubina, teachers, who formed her personality and worldview. Some of A. Rubina’s landmark productions are analyzed: ballets, choreographic peaces, drama performances staged by the choreographer at Kyiv State Choreographic Сollege, the National Opera of Ukraine, the Lesya Ukrainka National Academic Drama Theater, etc. The significance of A. Rubina’s activities for the development of Jewish dance culture in Ukraine is highlighted. A. Rubina’s theoretical developments are considered, in particular, regarding the peculiarities of acting expressiveness in ballet and drama theater, as well as the classification of methods of the creative process of creating choreography. The author of the article, a former ballerina of the National Opera of Ukraine, describes the collaboration with the choreographer A. Rubina: participation in her productions, work on her diploma project and also publishes excerpts from an interview that took place on September 22, 2023.
