Abstract.
The article outlines the extent of publicisticity presence in modern artworks. Since the very concept of publicisticity is not well studied yet, the author, using works of Ukrainian scholars, makes an attempt to determine more precisely characteristics of publicisticity as a certain manner or way of creating artworks that originally were not intended to be publicistic. Brief retrospective review shows signs of publicisticity in modern literature, visual art and cinema, and it proves that publicisticity in art is not a recent innovation but its history is rather long, and its appearance is reasoned by public demand. Special attention is focused on publicisticity signs in works which present mentioned arts in modern world. It allows to highlight reasons which made possible for publicisticity to enlarge its area in arts, and presents the context for analysis of nowadays Ukrainian artworks. During the analysis the influence of events and emotions caused by Russian full-scale invasion on Ukrainian artworks is considered. The conclusions contain some speculations regarding possible consequences of such a strong influence of publicisticity on artistic practice.
