Abstract.
The purpose of the article is to explore the conditions and approaches for creating Ukrainian jazz projects that integrate national musical traditions into contemporary jazz music. The article examines various approaches to synthesizing Ukrainian musical heritage with jazz styles and analyzes examples of successful jazz projects that contribute to the preservation and development of national musical heritage in the context of globalization. Studying these aspects aims to demonstrate how jazz music can become an effective means of integrating Ukrainian culture into the global music process. The methods of the research are systematic for organizing and classifying creative approaches to the creation of Ukrainian jazz projects; analytical for analyzing scientific literature and sources on the research topic, musicological analysis – for studying compositional techniques used in Ukrainian jazz projects; cultural – for researching the attitudes of audiences and musicians toward the use of Ukrainian motifs and language in jazz music, identifying issues in the development of jazz art in Ukraine; theoretical generalization for drawing specific and general conclusions from the research.
