Abstract.
The article analyzes and conducts a comparative analysis of program documents in the field of culture developed by state institutions and approved by the governments of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (UK) and Ukraine. Among them are “The Culture White Paper”, “The Culture Development Strategy for 2020–2030”, “Let’s Create”, “Strategy for the Development of Culture in Ukraine for the Period Until 2030”. The analysis showed the commonality and difference of approaches presented in the Strategies for developing models in the cultural sphere. It was proven that each of the Strategies has its own characteristics and reflects the specifics of the goals facing countries at the current historical stage. The analysis of the “Strategy for the Development of Culture in Ukraine until 2030” has demonstrated conceptual shifts in understanding the role of culture in building of the state and its national security, as well as the Strategy’s compliance with high standards of humanistic values embodied in relevant documents on the culture of highly developed democratic states, Great Britain in particular.
